2025 Writer’s Boot Camp with Catherine Rourke

Kick your writing into high gear at the 7th Annual Writer’s Boot Camp – no experience necessary!  Offered each year since 2015 and suitable for all writing levels and genresm this fun basic training is designed to bring out the best “Navy SEAL” writing in you!

Boot Camp inlcuding plety of writing drills – get ready to drop and write 20 sentences.

About Catherine:

Catherine J. Rourke is an award-winning journalist, book editor, author and writer with more than 35 years’ staff experience at major publishers, newspapers and magazines. Educated at the University of Oxford/England and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, she began her career at the Miami Herald. The former Register-Guard reporter has taught creative writing at FRAA since 2015. She received a National First Place press award in 2017 for her columns in the Siuslaw News from the American Federation of Press Women in Washington, DC
