Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) invites you to celebrate art, wine, and community at our A Taste of Art and Wine Festival and Juried Art Show. This highly anticipated event will be held at the Florence Events Center (715 Quince St.) on Saturday, February 15th, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday, February 16th, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Browse a diverse collection of handcrafted goods and unique fine art as FRAA surrounds the FEC galleries with a variety of vendor booths and wineries. Guests are encouraged to shop and mingle with the artists while sipping on several wine offerings. FRAA also hosts a Juried art show at this event centrally located within the event space allowing visitors to view and purchase additional artwork from additional artists.
Admission to the festival is free for all visitors. Wine tasting tickets and commemorative Florence Chamber wine glasses will be available for purchase at the event. Glasses and tickets can also be used that weekend for wine tasting in Old Town.
Vendor Show
We have such a wide variety of artwork this year. Ceramics, woodwork, beads and beaded items, fiber art, books, gourds, glass art, painting and photography and more.
Wineries
FRAA will host three wineries: Bluebird Cellars, McKenzie Crest and Rainsong. FRAA works with the Florence Chamber on this event such that at our event at the FEC, people can buy wine glasses and wine tasting tickets that can be used both at the FEC with our wineries as well as Old Town with their wineries. Three Rivers Casino has graciously offered to provide bus service regularly those two days to shuttle people between our event at the Events Center, Old Town and the Casino.
Juried Art Show
The Juried Art Show will be displayed in the middle of all the artisan and wine booths and visible to all for sale. A local judge will judge the artwork and prizes will be distributed for 2D and 3D art, $200, $125, and $75. There will also be a People’s Choice Award. The judges are Sandy Brown Jensen a fine art photographer and Pam Stevens, a fine artist concentrating on large-scale acrylic and mixed media works.
Free Admission to the event at the Florence Events Center, however, Chamber wine glasses and tickets will need to be purchased to wine taste.
