Rigid Heddle Weaving Intro with Peggy Ross
One Day Workshop: Thursday, August 10, 10:00 am -1:00 pm

Fees: $50 for FRAA members ($55 non-members)
Supplies: $10 for supplies which will be provided by the instructor (Supplies include:  Perle cotton yarns for warp & weft and assorted beads / embellishments. Workshop use of rigid heddle backstrap loom and shuttle.) Students should bring scissors and a pencil to class. 

Weave a bracelet or a bookmark with rigid heddle backstrap weaving.  This workshop is a first experience in weaving colorful and sturdy warp faced bands or ribbons.  
All experience levels welcome.

About Peggy: If Peggy isn’t in a classroom, art studio or her garden, she might be found at a garage sale or wandering around a hardware store imagining artistic uses for the objects she sees.  Lines, shapes, textures, and glorious color can be found everywhere.  Peggy loves to translate the world around her into painted, collaged & woven art.
