AEP6 Study

Arts and culture created $7.3 million in economic activity in Florence, including spending  by nonprofit arts amd culture organizations combined with attendee spending.  The arts generated more than $1.5 million in local, sate and federal tax revenue.

11,911 visitors attended arts and cultural events in Florence and spent an average of $119 per event.  Local attendees spent an averave of $55 per event.  Cultural tourists help our community.

The arts industry supported 118 jobs in Florence during the survey period.

Audience spending at arts and culture events in Florence was more than $4.9 million.  This number includes spending at restaurants, lodging, transporation, childcare, but not include ticket costs.

A total of 470 voluhnteers donated a total of 35.379 hours to the 15 participating nonprofit organizations, estimated at $1.1million value.

Arts and culture organizations in Florence contributed $2.3 million to our local economy.  The arts mean business and helps our community thrive.
